Mess accumulates faster than meaning.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
Things accumulate faster than significance. Objects, files, commitments, subscriptions, and half-finished projects all arrive at speed, and almost none of them turn out to matter. The volume grows while the proportion of it worth keeping falls, which is why a full space so often contains very little of value. Accumulation is automatic; meaning is not.
Rather than organizing what you have, try removing a portion of it. Ask of each thing whether it earns its place, not whether it could be useful. What is left will be easier to care about.
What has piled up around you while you were busy elsewhere?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
