If every opinion you have came from your feed, you don’t have opinions yet. You have subscriptions.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
An opinion you can defend has been through something: an argument you lost, a book that annoyed you, a situation you were actually in. What arrives through a feed has been selected for how well it travels, not for whether it is true, and holding it feels identical to having thought it. The test is whether you can state the strongest case against it.
Take one view you hold firmly and go find the best argument on the other side, from someone who means it. Not the stupid version. If your view survives, it is finally yours, and if it does not, you just upgraded.
Which opinion of yours did you actually arrive at yourself?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
