Pride in your work and showing off aren’t the same. One wants it done right. The other wants it seen.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Two motives can produce identical behaviour and then come apart under pressure. If you care about the work, you will take a correction, redo a section nobody noticed and finish something that will never be looked at. If you care about the audience, you will defend the flawed version and lose interest the moment attention moves on.
Test yourself on the next project by asking what you would do if it were never shown. Fix the part nobody will check. Wanting it seen is fine; just notice which of the two is driving the hours you are putting in.
Do you want that project finished well or finished visibly?
