Capacity is a real number even when nobody prints it. You can carry a certain amount of practice, homework, shifts and other people’s feelings, and past that point things start to go wrong in ways that look like laziness or a bad attitude. Because the limit is invisible, most people only learn theirs by going over it. That is an expensive way to find out.

List what you have said yes to between now and Sunday. Decide now which one you would drop if Thursday falls apart. Knowing the answer in advance is easier than deciding while the week is collapsing.
