Change is scary. Staying exactly the same for five more years should be scarier.

Fear is bad at arithmetic. It prices the risk of doing something new very high and the risk of doing nothing at zero, even though standing still has a cost that simply arrives later and all at once. Five more years of the same is not a neutral option. It is a choice with consequences, and it feels safe only because nothing happens on the day you make it.
Run the second number this week. Picture your life if nothing at all changes, in detail, and notice how you feel. If that picture bothers you more than the change does, you have your answer.
Where would you be in five years without changing anything?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
