You can love a city and still know it is no longer where your life belongs.

Affection and fit are separate questions. A city can have given you everything, still be beautiful to you, and still be the wrong container for the life you are now trying to build. Confusing the two keeps people in places they have already outgrown, because leaving feels like denying the love.
If you are torn, try holding both statements at once instead of choosing between them. I love it here, and my life needs something else. Once you stop needing the place to be wrong in order to leave, the decision gets much clearer.
