Some people hit their growth spurt at twelve, some at seventeen. Bodies don’t read the group’s schedule.

STILLNESS

WHAT THIS MEANS

Timing of development is close to random and predicts almost nothing about where you end up. Whoever grew at twelve got an advantage that lasts about three years, long enough to feel permanent and short enough to disappear by graduation. Comparing yourself to the group is comparing clocks, not ability.

Spend this season on the parts that are not waiting on a calendar: technique, conditioning, decision making, how hard you work when nobody is checking. Those transfer whenever your body arrives. And if you grew early, you are living off timing for now, so build the skills while it is easy.

What about your own development are you tired of comparing?
