Nature produces enormous complexity without needing everything centralized.

LEADERSHIP
There is no headquarters in a forest. No one is scheduling the migration, allocating the nutrients, or deciding when the fungi trade with the roots. Extraordinary complexity emerges from many local interactions following simple rules, without any central authority holding the plan.
If you manage anything, that is worth sitting with. The instinct to route every decision through the middle usually produces less capable systems, not more. Consider what could be decided locally by the people already standing next to the problem.
What are you controlling that would run fine without you?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
