Stars twinkle, planets mostly don’t. You learn the difference by looking more than once.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Telling two similar things apart is not a matter of being clever, it is a matter of looking often. One glance gives you a rough category; the fiftieth gives you the small difference that was always there, which is how mechanics, nurses and farmers know things that look like magic from outside. Repetition is the whole method.
Choose something you see often and look at it on purpose for a month. The sky, the way people stand, the sound of your car. You will start to notice differences you could not have described in week one, and the habit transfers to everything else you want to get good at.
What would a second look teach you about something familiar?
