Art allows ambiguity to become an experience rather than a problem.

REFLECTION
In most of life, not knowing is uncomfortable and demands resolution. Inside a novel or a film, the same uncertainty becomes something you can inhabit and even enjoy. Art gives ambiguity a safe container, and practicing there makes it slightly easier to bear elsewhere.
Notice when you demand that a story explain itself. That impulse is the same one that makes open situations in your life so hard to sit in. Letting a work stay unresolved is small practice for letting your own situation stay unresolved a little longer.
