Photos freeze a face mid-blink. Friends see you moving, laughing, alive. That’s the version that counts.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
A still image catches one thousandth of a second, and you treat it as a verdict. The people who know you have never seen that frozen face. They have seen you talking, mid-laugh, in motion, which is where a face actually lives. A photo can only ever be a bad sample of that.
So when a picture of you lands badly, give it ten seconds and put the phone down instead of studying it. Think about how you were when it was taken rather than how you look in it. If you catch yourself retaking a selfie eight times, stop at two and go be in the room with people.
Would your friends recognize the version of you in your head?
