A month in customer service teaches you to read faces faster than any psychology class.

REFLECTION

WHAT THIS MEANS

Reading people is a trained skill, and nothing trains it like a hundred strangers a day who all want something and have limited patience. You start to see who is in a hurry, who is confused and not asking, who is about to complain, before anybody says a word. The learning is fast because the feedback lands immediately and keeps landing.

Use the shift as practice this week rather than just getting through it. Guess what the next person needs before they speak and see whether you were right. Keep count for an hour. It transfers to classrooms, interviews and arguments, and most people never get this training.
