Some of the starlight you see tonight left those stars before you were born. Perspective is free if you go outside.
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
Some of what you see overhead left before you existed, which makes the night sky partly a record rather than a report. Standing under it for a few minutes tends to resize things, not by making your problems small but by setting them in a frame much larger than tonight. The resizing costs nothing and requires no equipment at all.
Go outside after dark this week, away from the nearest streetlight if you can manage it, and stay out there five minutes. Do not take a photograph of it. Just look up and let the scale do the work.
When did the night sky last shrink one of your problems?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
