Before chasing a goal, picture achieving it with a rule that you can never post about it. Still excited?
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
Part of what you want is yours and part was installed by the thought of being seen wanting it, and the two are hard to separate while an audience is still in the picture. Imagining the achievement with no way to tell anybody strips out the social reward and leaves only whatever you genuinely wanted. If the excitement collapses, that is useful information rather than something to be ashamed of.
Run the test on one goal you are chasing. If it survives, you know it is worth the hours. If it does not, ask what you were really after and go looking for that instead.
Would you still chase your biggest goal in total secrecy?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
