Infinite information does not create infinite understanding.

Access and comprehension are different capacities, and only one of them has increased. Having everything available makes you feel close to knowing while doing none of the slow work that produces actual understanding: reading at length, being wrong, thinking about one thing repeatedly.

Choose depth over volume somewhere this month. One book instead of forty articles, one subject followed properly. The feeling of being informed will decrease and the amount you actually understand will go up, which is an uncomfortable but useful trade.
