The internet made publishing easier than deciding what deserves publication.

The barrier used to be technical and it did some editorial work by accident. Now anyone can publish instantly, which is genuinely good, and the judgment that used to be imposed from outside has to be supplied by each person for themselves. Most of us never developed it because we never needed it.

Before you post, ask whether this adds anything or merely exists. Not to silence yourself, just to be the editor that no longer sits between you and the world. That question, asked honestly, removes a surprising amount.
