Have one thing you do that nobody will ever see. It keeps a part of you that isn’t performing.

STILLNESS

WHAT THIS MEANS

Anything shared gets shaped by the sharing. Once something has an audience, part of your attention goes to how it looks, which changes it in small ways you stop noticing. Keeping one thing unseen leaves a part of your life that is not arranged for anybody, and that matters more as the rest gets more public. It does not have to be impressive, only private.

Pick one and keep it unshared: a notebook, a skill you practise badly, a route you walk, something you make and never show. No posting and no mentioning it. Give it some time this week and notice how different it feels with nobody watching.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

Do you keep one thing entirely for yourself, unseen?
