Know your tells: the snack, the scroll, the nap. They show up right before you avoid something.

STILLNESS

WHAT THIS MEANS

Avoidance has a reliable opening sequence, and it is usually physical rather than mental. You stand up, you open the fridge, you check a feed you already checked, you decide a nap is sensible. None of that announces itself as running away, which is precisely why it works so well.

Learn your own three and treat them as an alarm rather than a verdict. When one fires, say out loud what you are about to not do, then start it for two minutes. Two minutes is usually enough to clear the part you were dreading.
