Patience isn’t passive. It’s knowing exactly what you’re waiting for.

Waiting without a reason is stalling, and from the inside the two feel identical. Real patience has a target: a result, a date, a sign that tells you the moment has arrived. Without one you drift, and later call the drifting wisdom. Naming the thing is what turns a delay into a decision.
Take something you have been putting off and finish this sentence out loud: I will act when. If you cannot fill the blank, you are not being patient and you may as well start today. If you can, write the trigger down and stop re-deciding every morning.
Can you name precisely what you are waiting for?
