Some people start a small scholarship in a grandparent’s name. Legacy can be as simple as helping one kid a year.

Legacy sounds like buildings and surnames, and in practice it is usually much smaller and much more specific: one person each year who got something they could not otherwise have had, with somebody’s name attached. The scale is not what makes it matter. Being aimed at an actual person is.

You do not have to wait until you have money for this. Think about what you would want kept going in somebody’s name, and start with time: coaching the younger group, tutoring one kid, running the thing nobody else will. The bigger version can come later.
