The drawing you made at six is still in a box somewhere because someone couldn’t throw it away.
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
Keeping a bad drawing has nothing to do with the drawing. Somebody looked at a page of crayon and found they could not put it in the bin, because it had stopped being paper and become proof that you were small once and theirs. That impulse is quiet, and almost nobody mentions it out loud.
Ask whoever kept your things to show you the box. Expect it to be funnier than you would like and also slightly moving. Then keep one thing a younger cousin or sibling made for you, so somebody else gets the same box later on.
What did someone keep of yours long past its usefulness?
