Team chemistry isn’t everybody liking each other. It’s knowing where your teammate will be without looking.

GRATITUDE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Chemistry is a technical thing more than a social one. A group that gets along can still be slow and uncoordinated, while a group that never socialises can be excellent, because what makes a team work is shared expectation: you know where the pass goes because you know where they will be. That gets built by repetition rather than by liking each other.

Stop waiting to feel close and build the predictability instead: more reps with the same people, say what you are going to do, then do what you said. The same thing applies on a shift or a group project, where friendship is optional and reliability is not.
