Trust grows when you take small risks with people and they handle them well. No risk, no trust.

Trust is not something you can decide to feel. It is produced by evidence, and evidence only exists if you have handed somebody something they could have mishandled. Keeping everything back is safe and it also keeps you at the same low level with everybody forever, which is why some people are careful for years and still have nobody.

Pick one person and one small risk this week. A real opinion, a thing you are worried about, a plan you have not told anyone. Watch what they do with it, and then take a slightly bigger one if it went well.
