Every friend group has one person holding it together. If it’s not you, thank them this week.

GRATITUDE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Somebody in your group is doing unpaid organising work. They are the one who starts the plan, chases the replies, picks the place, and absorbs it when two people cancel an hour before. Because they do it reliably, it reads as their personality rather than as effort, and nobody thanks a personality. That is how the person holding a group together ends up feeling slightly alone in it.

Work out who yours is and tell them directly, this week, in a message with no other business in it. Name one specific thing they did. Then take one job off them, the booking or the reminder, and actually do it.
