Telling a teammate “You called it” when they were right builds more trust than being right yourself.

GRATITUDE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Giving credit away costs you nothing and buys plenty. When you point out that somebody else read the situation correctly, you are showing the group that you are keeping track of accuracy rather than keeping score, and people relax around anybody who does that. Being right yourself is worth one point. Being the person who notices other people being right is worth having everybody want you to know things.

Say it out loud, by name, in front of others. Specific is better: you said the switch would come, and it came. And do it when the person was right and you were wrong, which is the version that registers.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

When did a teammate call it right and you never said so?
