If you can’t name one thing you’ve been wrong about lately, you’re not checking.

REFLECTION

WHAT THIS MEANS

Everybody is wrong regularly, and the only variable is whether you notice. Coming up blank is not evidence of accuracy, it is evidence that nothing has been reviewed, because errors you spot get remembered and errors you never examine simply dissolve. An empty record is a reporting problem rather than a performance one.

Go looking for one from the last month: a judgement about a person, a prediction, a wrong answer you argued hard for. Say it plainly to somebody. Then build a small habit of asking one person a month what you have got wrong lately.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

What is the most recent thing you were wrong about?
