Look at who you text most. Odds are you’re picking up their habits, good and bad.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
You absorb the people you spend the most time with, including through a screen. Their phrases, their opinions, how they treat other people, how much effort they think things are worth: all of it crosses over without any decision being made. The influence is strongest exactly where you are not watching for it.
Look at your most frequent contacts and ask what each of them is making normal for you. Not to cut anybody off, just to see it clearly. If one of those answers is unwelcome, you can add somebody whose habits you would rather pick up.
Whose habits have you absorbed from texting them all day?
