Apologizing doesn’t mean they owe you forgiveness on your schedule.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Apologising is something you give, not a transaction that completes on delivery. You can do it well and sincerely and still find the other person needs weeks, and their timing belongs to them, because they are the one holding the injury. Pressing for a resolution turns the apology into a request, which is where good ones often go wrong.
Say it once, properly, and then let it sit. Do not ask whether things are fine yet. Keep behaving like someone who meant it, and let them come back when they are ready.
Who have you pushed to forgive you faster than they could?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
