Compare your week to your last week, not to someone’s best day online. That’s the only fair matchup.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Online you see other people’s best days, assembled and cropped, and you set them against your whole ordinary one. That matchup is rigged before it starts. Your own last week is the only thing on the same scale as this week: same body, same subjects, same amount of sleep. Progress measured there is small and real, which is less exciting and far more useful.
Pick one thing you are trying to get better at and write down where it stood last Sunday. Check it this Sunday. If the line moved at all, that counts, whatever anybody’s highlight looked like.
