Asking early can prevent needing rescue later.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
There is a window where a question is small and cheap, and a later point where the same situation requires a rescue. Waiting usually comes from wanting to solve it yourself first, which is understandable, but the cost of the delay lands on everyone. Early questions are inexpensive precisely because nothing has been built on the mistake yet.
Set yourself a limit before you start, an amount of time after which you will ask rather than keep pushing. When you hit it, ask, even if you feel close. Being the person who raises things early is a much better reputation than being the person who never asks.
What are you struggling with quietly that you could raise today?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
