A closed chapter can still have been part of the promise.

An ending does not automatically mean the thing was a mistake or a detour. Chapters close inside a story that is still going, and the part that ended may have done real work in getting you here. Judging a whole arc by its last page is a habit worth questioning.

With something that finished badly, ask what it built in you that you still carry. Skills, discernment, relationships that outlasted it. Counting those does not require you to be glad it ended the way it did.
