You can be unfinished and still be useful.

Waiting until you are complete before offering anything means never offering anything, because nobody is complete. Most of the help people receive comes from other people who are still working things out themselves, and the unfinishedness often makes them more useful rather than less.

If you have been holding back from something because you have not sorted yourself out, consider going ahead anyway. Be honest about where you are. People are usually helped more by someone a few steps ahead than by someone who claims to have arrived.
