The right to education includes the right to be confused without humiliation.

CREATIVITY

WHAT THIS MEANS

Learning requires a period of not understanding, and that period has to be survivable. If confusion is met with mockery or impatience, students learn to conceal it, and concealed confusion cannot be addressed, so the right to be taught depends on the right to be visibly lost. It is a practical condition rather than a courtesy.

In any room you influence, respond to admitted confusion with information and nothing else. No sighing, no surprise. And if you are the one who is lost, saying so is a legitimate thing to do and is usually more common than it appears.
