The person willing to learn longer usually wins after the person relying on talent stops improving.

LEADERSHIP
Natural ability gives someone a head start and then, often, permission to stop developing. The person without that advantage keeps learning past the point where the talented one leveled off, and the crossing happens quietly, usually somewhere in the middle of a long stretch nobody is watching.
Whatever your current level, keep a thing you are actively getting better at. Talent is not the variable you control. Duration is, and it is the one that decides most of these outcomes.
Where has natural ability let you stop practising too early?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
