A boundary without consequences is eventually treated like a suggestion.
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
A limit only means something if crossing it changes anything. Stated without a consequence, it is a preference, and people who benefit from ignoring it will read it exactly that way, no matter how clearly you phrased it. The clarity was never the missing piece.
Take one boundary you have restated more than twice and decide, quietly, what happens the next time it is crossed. Something you will actually do, not a threat. Then do it once, calmly, and let it teach what the words could not.
Which limit of yours have you stated but never enforced?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
