A career change deserves a budget for learning, not only a burst of enthusiasm.

Motivation is the cheapest input in a change of direction. What actually determines whether it happens is whether you can afford the months of being a beginner: the course, the lower pay, the evenings, the period where you are producing less than you used to. Enthusiasm covers the first few weeks and then runs into the practical wall, at which point people conclude they were not serious enough. They were serious; the plan just had no room for the learning.
Work out the real cost of getting competent before you commit to anything. Decide how you will cover it and how long you can sustain that.
What would your next change cost in time and tuition, honestly counted?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
