A small act of care can matter on the day nobody remembers to ask.

Attention tends to arrive in a rush at the obvious moment and then thin out just as the hard part settles in. Weeks after a funeral, a diagnosis, or a move, the calls stop while the ordinary difficulty continues with no audience at all. On those days a small gesture reads as much larger, because it says someone kept track. Size matters far less than timing.
Think of a person whose difficult season has stopped being news. Send something small and unceremonious this week: a message, a delivery, an offer to take one specific chore. Expect nothing back, and do not ask them to manage your feelings about it.
Who in your life might be having a quietly hard day?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
