A small change outside can remind you that the week contains more than your usual concerns.

GRATITUDE
Attention narrows under pressure until a week appears to consist entirely of whatever you are worried about. Something outside that circle, the light arriving earlier, a tree in leaf, a bird audible from the desk, breaks the frame for a moment. It solves nothing, and it is not meant to. The point is the reminder that a great deal is going on that has no opinion about your situation.
Step outside once a day with no purpose attached and find one thing that has changed since last week. Skip the photograph. Just notice it, then go back in.
What has changed outdoors this week while you were looking down?
