Trusting someone with a task includes letting their method differ from yours.

LEADERSHIP
Handing over a job while keeping the method is not delegation. It is supervision with extra steps, and it removes the main benefit, which is that another person may find a better path than the one you would have taken. Most of the friction in handovers comes from watching someone do it differently and reading that as doing it wrong.
Be clear about the outcome and quiet about the route. Say what must be true at the end and where the real constraints sit. Then judge the result rather than its resemblance to your own approach.
Whose different method did you quietly correct back to yours?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
