Some changes are quiet because they happen in the choices nobody sees.

Real change rarely announces itself. It sits in what you decline, what you no longer argue about, the message you do not send, the drink you skip, the hour spent differently. None of that is visible to anyone else, and because it is invisible it can feel as though nothing is happening, right up until the shape of a life is noticeably different.

Count the unseen choices as progress, since that is mostly where progress lives. Keep a private record if it helps. Do not wait for someone to notice before believing something has moved.
