The work you deliver should match the description that persuaded someone to choose you.

LEADERSHIP

WHAT THIS MEANS

The gap between the pitch and the delivery is where most trust is lost. It rarely happens through dishonesty; the description was written in optimism, then reality arrived, and what got handed over was slightly less than what was promised without anyone saying so. The client remembers the version they agreed to. They compare, silently, and adjust how much they believe you next time.

Before you deliver, read your own proposal again and check each promise against what is actually there. Where something has changed, say it yourself before they find it. Promising less is not modesty, it is the cheapest way to keep your word.
