A personal change becomes steadier when ordinary routines have room for it.

CREATIVITY
Changes fail less often from weak intention than from a life with no gap in it. If the new thing has to be squeezed between two fixed obligations, every busy week ends it. What holds a change in place is the boring structure around it: a time that is already free, a version small enough to survive a bad day.
Rather than adding resolve, go looking for the space. Find the half hour that is genuinely available and attach the new habit to something you already do without deciding. Then shrink the habit until it fits that space comfortably, and let it grow only when the space does.
Where in your ordinary week does your new habit actually fit?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
