Change is easier to keep when your surroundings stop asking for the old performance.

CREATIVITY

WHAT THIS MEANS

Habits live in rooms and relationships as much as in your intentions. The chair, the route home, the friend who suggests the same thing, the role you play at home: each quietly requests the previous version of you. Most change that fails did not fail from weakness; it failed because everything around it kept ordering the old behavior.

Change one physical cue this week rather than adding one more resolution. Move the object, alter the route, put the thing you want in easy reach. Then tell one person what you are doing, so at least one relationship starts expecting the new version instead of the old.
