The image you share can travel beyond the audience you had in mind.

Anything posted has a second life you do not control. The picture meant for six friends gets screenshotted, forwarded, resurfaced years later in a context you could not have predicted, and the version of you in it cannot explain itself. That matters most when other people are in the frame, since they never agreed to whatever audience it eventually finds.

Ask before posting a photograph with someone else in it, particularly children and particularly at their worst moment. Assume the audience is everyone you know and a few you do not. If a picture would need explaining to a stranger, keep it between the people who were there.
