The best arrangement leaves enough access to care for what you planted.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
Design tends to be judged from a distance, in the pleasing view, while the work of keeping something alive happens up close and on your knees. A bed you cannot reach or a shelf you cannot get behind looks fine on the day it is finished and gets steadily worse. Beauty that blocks care does not stay beautiful for long.
Look at something you have set up recently and ask how you will tend it in six months. Leave a path, a gap, or a spare afternoon, and treat that space as part of the design rather than a compromise to it.
What have you set up without leaving room to maintain it?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
