A plan made with care should leave both people glad to have agreed to it.

GRATITUDE

WHAT THIS MEANS

An arrangement that only one person is happy with is not settled, it is postponed. Someone who agreed while quietly disliking the terms will carry that into how the day goes. The resentment surfaces later as reluctance, lateness or a comment that seems to come from nowhere. Good planning is not about winning the negotiation efficiently. It is about ending with two people who actually want to be there.

After agreeing something this week, check whether the other person is genuinely pleased or merely compliant. Ask directly, and be willing to reopen it if the answer is thin.
