The person offering advice should understand the constraint you cannot remove.

GRATITUDE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Advice that ignores your fixed conditions is not really advice about your life. Someone tells you to move, to leave, to hire help, and the suggestion quietly assumes away the one thing you cannot change: the illness, the lease, the child, the money. That does not make them unkind, only uninformed. Counsel becomes useful when it starts from what is genuinely immovable.

Name your constraint out loud at the start of the next conversation where you want help. If the answer still steps around it, you can thank them and keep looking.
