Patience is not doing nothing; it is refusing to ruin something by forcing it early.
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
Patience is often mistaken for passivity when it is closer to restraint. It is the deliberate work of not intervening: not sending the message, not pushing for the answer, not applying pressure that would only produce a premature version of what you want. That takes more effort than acting, which is why it rarely feels like doing anything.
When the urge to force something arrives, name what forcing would actually accomplish. Usually it relieves your discomfort rather than improving the outcome. Give it a set amount of time, a day or a week, and use that interval for something you can genuinely affect instead.
