Let a new neighbor learn the street without being tested on rules nobody has explained.

Every street has unwritten rules: which day the bins go out, where you can park, how loud is too loud on a Sunday. Nobody wrote them down, and long residents forget they were ever learned. A newcomer breaking one is not being disrespectful; they are missing information that was never offered.
If someone has moved in nearby, tell them one or two of the local habits early and lightly. Frame it as help rather than correction. When they get something wrong, assume they did not know, because they almost certainly did not.
Which unwritten rule did you expect a newcomer to already know?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
