Every meaningful attempt contains a version of you willing to look inexperienced.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
Every genuine attempt requires a version of you willing to be a beginner in public. That version is uncomfortable to inhabit and impossible to skip, because skill only ever arrives on the far side of visible inexperience. What stops most people is not the difficulty of the work but the exposure of not yet being good at it.
Give that version of you a defined role rather than treating it as a failure state. When you start something new, say plainly that you are learning. It relieves the pressure to perform, and it tends to draw help rather than judgment from people who have been there.
Where are you unwilling to be new at something?
